Mobile Massage & Bodywork Services for Ultimate Canine Well-being
Professional Mobile Bodywork & Rehab Massage for Dogs in Vancouver & Lower Mainland
Soul Paws offers integrative canine bodywork designed around the individual dog — not a predetermined technique or formula.
Each session is thoughtfully adapted based on your dog’s movement patterns, nervous system responses, age, lifestyle, and comfort on that day. Rather than applying a single modality in isolation, I blend multiple hands-on approaches as needed, adjusting pressure, pacing, and focus in real time.
This flexible, whole-body approach allows sessions to support relaxation, mobility, recovery, and long-term maintenance while remaining gentle, responsive, and complementary to veterinary care. The goal is not to “do more,” but to do what is most appropriate for your dog in that moment.
Prevention & Rehabilitation for Dog Mobility
What Does a Session Include?
Each Soul Paws session is uniquely tailored to the dog in front of me.
Multiple bodywork approaches, massage strokes, range of motion and stretches are incorporated as needed, adjusting pressure, pacing, and focus based on your dog's responses that moment.
A session may include:
Neurovascular Release (NVR)
Used to gently support communication between the nervous system and surrounding tissues, helping reduce protective holding patterns.
Myofascial Release (MFR)
Applied to support fascial hydration and mobility, especially where long-standing tension or compensation patterns are present.
Swedish Massage Techniques
Including effleurage, petrissage, friction, compression, rolling compressions, and gentle plucking—used to encourage circulation, relaxation, and tissue awareness.
Rehabilitation Techniques
Including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Arterial and Venous Circulatory massage, inflammatory-reduction (Sunburst technique), and multiple immune and musculoskeletal targeted strokes.
Lymphatic Techniques
Including light brushing, flicking, and pincement, used to support natural fluid movement and tissue health.
Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
A subtle, hands-on approach used to support nervous system balance and deep relaxation.
Nerve-Focused StrokesSuch as tapping and rhythmic rocking, used to support sensory input and nervous system regulation.
Acupressure
Applied selectively to support overall balance and comfort, based on the dog’s presentation and tolerance.
Infrared Red Light Therapy
Used when appropriate as a supportive, non-invasive modality alongside hands-on bodywork.
Stretching and Range of Motion
Both passive repetitive stretching, active and static stretches as well as range of motion assessments are incorporated.
Guided Exercises:
These may include balance, proprioception and strength focused exercises to complement the areas working on. Cavaletti poles, bosu and balance balls, and guided movements are focused specifically for your dog's needs.
Note: Not every modality is used in every session.
The focus is always on what best supports your dog that day.
