What This 90-Minute Support Session Includes: This initial session is designed to reduce overwhelm and help you feel grounded and supported. Depending on your needs, the session may include: • Emotional support and space to talk through what you are facing • Help organizing decisions and next steps • Guidance and planning for in-home or clinic euthanasia (if desired) • Support with timing, logistics, and communication • Instruction in intentional touch, calming vagus nerve techniques for you and your dog, and a supportive acupoint to help you connect deeply with your dog • Grounding support for both guardian and dog *(This session may take place before the transition, or at any point when support is needed.) Optional Coordination & Arrangement Support: For guardians who prefer not to manage logistics during grief, coordination support is available. This may include organizing veterinary appointments, after-care options, and memorial requests such as urns, jewellery incorporating ashes or fur, or commissioned portrait artwork. When this option is chosen, I gather quotes, present clear options, and—once approved—handle the coordination on your behalf. All third-party costs are quoted in advance and invoiced separately, with payment made via e-transfer to reduce repeated transactions during an emotionally difficult time. Ongoing & Follow-Up Support Some families find one session sufficient. Others choose additional sessions for continued guidance, day-of presence (if requested), or grief support afterward. Follow-up sessions may include continued planning, presence during the transition, grief coaching, or assistance with after-care considerations. A 4-session Compassionate Support Package is also available for families who want structured support before, during, and after their pet's transition, without having to decide everything at once. Please note: Soul Paws provides holistic & non-medical support only. Veterinary services, euthanasia, cremation, memorial items, and third-party services are arranged separately and paid directly to those providers. You are welcome to move at your own pace. There is no right timeline and no expectation to know what you need right away. This service is flexible, gentle and shaped around you and your beloved pet's unique journey. Support is always guided by consent, compassion and care.
