Dogs, way more than people, have the power in their olfactory system to transmit information to their limbic system, hippocampus and vagus nerve which means they are highly sensitive to scents. They not only have 250K olfactory nerve receptors (compared to 5K in humans) but they have 2 olfactory pathways; so they can take in scent concurrently while inhaling and exhaling! One of these two pathways goes straight to their olfactory bulb, where the magic begins!
These responses include triggering dopamine, blocking cortisol, and pain signals to the brain. Our blend supports inhibiting cox-2 pain signals and lowering inflammation in the body.
Inflammasoothe Pup
This blend is safe for dogs of all weights however the amount to use varies based on weight.
For dogs under 20lbs:
Use a single drop or the equivalent of a roll on between shoulders, along the sore areas of the spine.
Then you can use twice/week and observe their response. Use up to three times/week.
Always monitor for licking and distract with a lick mat or toy as the jojoba base quickly absorbs.
For dogs over 20 lbs:
Apply 1-2 rolls to affected joints, ideally along the spine after walks or before rest. This can be used daily once you confirm both you and your dog are not sensitive to the oil after a patch test. You can test on this inside of your wrist, wait 24 hrs, then proceed.
Extra Safety: Begin with a patch test by dabbing on your wrist and check 24 hours later to ensure no sensitivity to the oil. While each blend is dog safe, dogs, similar to humans, can have sensitivities and allergies so it is always best to be safe and check to ensure no allergy first.
Local orders will be delivered on Mondays to Vancouver clients and either shipped or delivered for clients further outside the city. Additional postage will be required for mail deliveries.
